Citing that 90% of Delhi's buildings lack fire NOC or safety compliance, the Delhi government is planning to make smoke detectors and extinguishers mandatory for residential areas. This move aims to strengthen fire safety norms and prevent mishaps, especially in densely populated areas with narrow lanes, following recent fire tragedies.
